Raytheon Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) is seeking a Principal Program Controls Specialist to join our growing team in the ATEP portfolio based out of McKinney, TX. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive finance and Earned Value Management Support (EVM) to various external programs by effectively partnering with other analysts, program managers and their teams to realize successful implementation. This role will support a portfolio of all product life-cycles programs funded by various colors of money. This is an opportunity for an experienced analyst to continue to grow their network and knowledge on a highly strategic and visible portfolio. This position is an onsite role based out of McKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for SCM Forecast analysis and process improvements, cost/schedule control and analysis, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Forecasting, Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), variance analysis, data reviewing and reporting, partnering with the Program Manager and CAM’s/IPTL’s, and providing personal involvement in the effective implementation of the contracts.

  • Drive the finance process for a set of programs, monitor program health and compliance, and partnering with functional team members to improve program financial metrics.

  • Responsible for actively identifying risks that affect cost and/or schedule and providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of the projects.

  • Performance of additional ad-hoc analysis will be required as well as support of 5 Year and AOP forecasting.

  • You must be able to work in a challenging exciting team environment across multiple functions, be an effective team member who possesses excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to provide critical thinking support while under critical deadlines and develop self-initiated process improvements.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems.

  • Experienced in preparation of financial forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Cost/schedule control & analysis and variance analysis.

  • Actively supporting Program Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) reviews and policy compliance.

  • Facilitating monthly data reconciliation.

  • Highlighting pertinent information derived from analysis of program data, including trend analysis – high proficiency of MS Excel is expected.

  • Proposal support.

  • Cash management, capital/company funded requests, ROI analysis, and audit/policy compliance.

  • Partner with Program Managers, CAM’s/IPTLs/OPMs, and Material Program Managers to influence decisions and provide personal involvement in the successful implementation of contracts.

  • Lead program level Short Range Outlook (SRO) tracking, financial forecasting and reporting, and preparation of Long Year planning and Annual Operating Plans.

  • Work closely with Program Management, Finance Management, and functional organizations.

  • Understanding and application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standard knowledge of industry practices, such as Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Estimates-at-Complete (EAC).

  • Exposure to manufacturing metrics & practices, program controls, and cost & managerial accounting concepts.

  • Experience in preparation of financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

  • Familiarity with SAP, APEX, PRISM, PMX.

  • Experience within matrixed environment by cooperating with multiple functions and disciplines.

  • Team member must be a self-starter and an independent worker in support of the program.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
