Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manager, Material Program Manager (MPM) within the Global Army/Navy portfolio, Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Solutions SSBU. In this highly visible role, you’ll be the liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams, accountable for a team of material program managers within the assigned portfolio. The supply base includes a mix of small to large businesses, IOT (Interorganizational) partners, and major subcontractors which manufacture high level assemblies, various commodities, and low to high complexity materials. This position closely partners with Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, various Functions within the Factory organization, Contracts, Customers, and other supporting functions to shape, develop, and execute the strategies and objectives of the product line to achieve the cost, quality, and schedule goals for the program and business unit to ensure on-time delivery to the end customer.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee a team of Material Program Managers to ensure timely and efficient execution of material strategies.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive material strategies to support program objectives and maximize performance.

  • Manage the execution of procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, R&Os, EAC, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and program execution.

  • Collaborate with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to proactively resolve supply chain issues and ensure alignment with program goals.

  • Prepare and present SCM positions for leadership reviews, including Gate Reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Program Reviews, and Customer Reviews.

  • Lead supplier assessments, sourcing strategies, and proposal development activities to support program requirements.

  • Improve supplier performance by utilizing key metrics and establishing an executable Supplier Engagement Plan to actively manage risk within the supply base.

  • Implement and maintain robust risk management practices to identify, assess, and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, supplier performance, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years related experience.

  • Experience as a people manager, responsible for employee performance.

  • Experience in at least one of the following: Supplier Management, Material Forecasting, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Material Estimate at Complete (EAC), Earned Value (EV) and/or proposal development experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through education and experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to provide creative and systemic solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills required to evaluate end-to-end planning and identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.

  • Experience that can be leveraged to affect change and provide creative, lasting systemic solutions to ensure MRP integrity in support of on time deliveries.

  • Supplier management experience (PO placement, proposal reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition)

  • Material Forecasting experience

  • AR/CFR Knowledge and experience

  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager for Material Estimate at Complete (EACs) and Material Forecasting

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
