The Finance Manager is responsible for the finances and administration of the business unit/organization by ensuring the preparation of financial reporting. This position will drive financial insights, identifies opportunities and assist with the development of financial frameworks to evaluate the impact on the business unit(s) and organization. In addition, the Finance Manager will support the management/leadership team by offering insights and guidance when needed; and will have experience in delivering, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and assisting with the strategic planning processes.

  • Analyze revenue and expense variances, assess financial risks, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Assist management with budgeting and forecasting to provide an accurate projection of financial performance.

  • Assist with the development of the annual budget process for the organization.

  • Assist in the development and execution of the company's strategic initiatives regarding the financial department.

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Continuously assess and recommend areas of improvement to support financial planning processes and models to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Compile monthly reports and analysis on project progress, financials and update forecast.

  • Support and participate in internal and external audits as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field, MBA is preferred.

  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in Finance with increasing responsibilities in Financial/accounting and financial management experience, e.g., planning, monitoring, organizing and controlling the monetary resources, preferably in a healthcare setting

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

  • Experience working with financial tools and systems such as excel, NetSuite and WorkDay

  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles, practices, regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards, primarily in the healthcare industry.

  • Ability to work with flexibility on several tasks simultaneously and meet various concurrent deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Proven experience working on a complex budget

  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

  • Ability to connect business actions with financial outcomes.

  • Advanced Excel skills are essential

  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of leadership/management and ability to partner with other team members cross functionally.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum level of supervision.
