An oil change technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance on vehicles to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently. Here are some key duties and responsibilities typically associated with this role:

Responsibilities:

• Oil Changes: Drain old oil and replace it with new oil according to manufacturer specifications.
• Filter Replacement: Inspect and replace oil filters, air filters, and cabin filters as needed.
• Fluid Checks: Check and top off other vehicle fluids, including brake, power steering, and windshield washer fluids.
• Tire Maintenance: Check tire pressure and add air if necessary.
• Vehicle Inspection: Perform basic inspections to identify potential issues, such as leaks or worn-out parts.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers about recommended services and maintenance needs.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed service records and reports for each vehicle serviced.
• Safety Protocols: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and good communication abilities.
