News Corp Australia Lead Producer of Animation in Melbourne, Australia
What's the role?
As the Lead Producer - Animation at Visual Domain, you play a crucial role in managing the production of animated content from concept to delivery. Your organisational skills, creative expertise, and ability to collaborate between sales, production, and clients will ensure the successful execution of animation projects while leading and developing a high-performing animation team
Manage a team of 4-5 animators to meet KPIs.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
Foster a culture of creativity and efficiency, ensuring team members are aligned with company values and project expectations.
Manage a small load of animation projects, including creative development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensure cost-effective use of internal and external resources.
Assist with scoping animation projects, ensuring profitability as well as efficiencies
Track revenue and project profitability, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Lead and oversee creative concept development, including script writing, storyboarding, and animation direction.
Ensure animation work adheres to brand guidelines and high creative standards.
Work closely with internal teams to enhance the animation department’s offering.
Identify opportunities for new animation styles, software, and creative approaches.
Who are you?
Minimum 5 years of experience in animation production, motion design, or a related leadership role.
Proven team leadership experience, with the ability to coach and mentor creatives.
Strong project management skills, with experience juggling multiple animation projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills, remaining calm under pressure and solutions-focused.
Experience working directly with clients, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional results.
Budget management and resource allocation expertise.
