Description
Job purpose
To provide Operations direction for Cape Design Engineering (CDE) a wholly-owned subsidiary of 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over a decade.
Position Overview :
The Director of Operations is a strategic leadership role for CDE and is responsible for ensuring that our clients derive maximum value from our products and services. This individual will lead a team of administrators, planners and managers, develop strategies to enhance client relationships, and align customer initiatives with overall business goals. The ideal candidate is both a visionary leader and a hands-on strategist with a passion for process improvement.
Duties and responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management :
Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team for operational effectiveness, reliability and customer satisfaction.
Foster a collaborative culture that promotes innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to team members, encouraging professional growth and development.
Project Management and Execution:
Allocate resources efficiently and manage administrative processes to align with company goals.
Communicate front-office customer satisfaction, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.
Technical Guidance:
Provide expert technical guidance and support to the administration and operations teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and marketing, to define technical requirements and develop innovative solutions.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, driving continuous improvement in engineering and operational processes.
Strategic Planning and Development:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company's engineering and operations capabilities.
Identify and evaluate new opportunities for innovation and growth in line with the company's mission and objectives.
Manage the budget and resources for the administration and operations departments, ensuring cost effectiveness and efficiency.
Drive client retention and expansion through sales forecasting, resource planning, business development and traction planning.
Quality Assurance:
Identify/Capture processes that all engineering and operational projects meet rigorous quality standards and compliance requirements.
Maintain best practices for quality assurance, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Champion a culture of quality and operational excellence across the organization.
Facilities support:
Plans, supervises, coordinates, and assigns work activities for the HQ facility and ensures jobs/tasks are completed on schedule and within budget
Determines repairs needed on equipment; makes or obtains cost estimates
Identifies facility financial forecasting and annual budgeting
Prepares and supervises the development and management of various capital improvement and special projects associated with building repairs, renovations, and maintenance
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Architecture or related field.
Experience :
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a technical leadership role, managing engineering teams and projects.
Strong technical background.
