Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
The Sr Embedded Software Engineer will be an integral part of our Electro Optical Infrared System (EOIS) Software Development Team. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles, and airborne platforms. Responsible for leading technical activities and completing these activities on time and within budget. Develop embedded software and PC tools including operating systems, networks, utilities, and Internet-related tools. Determine hardware compatibility. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Hard Skills
10 years of real-time embedded software experience
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
Linux and bare-metal implementation for embedded systems
Experience with embedded device drivers (TCP/IP, UART, I2C, PCIe, etc.)
Solid understanding of multi-threading/multi-processing concepts and implementations
Strong development experience in C or C++ (3 years)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering technical field
Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
Soft Skills
Ability to work independently and under supervision
Clear written and oral communication
Regular reporting of progress and status
Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the mission, values, and culture of the organization
