Sharp Manufacturing Company of America (SMCA) is currently building its full-time assembly operation in Memphis, TN. SMCA is looking for individuals that want to become a member of a reliable, quality-focused assembly team.

Currently SMCA manufactures premium home appliances including under the counter microwave drawers, cooktops, and wall ovens.

Daily assignments could include unpacking components, component assembly, testing, adjusting, and packaging of products. Internal training and promotions are available and an important part of the Sharp team culture.

Tasks:

Assembles and/or fits together parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench, conveyor line or on the floor.

Operate hand tools such as but not limited to soldering irons, air screw drivers and pallet jacks.

May be required to move materials and stock assemble lines with parts.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks which require thorough knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, tools and equipment.

Perform all work safely in accordance with applicable Company Policy and Department Procedures.

Must be able to recognize parts by part number and verify correct parts are used.

Other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:

Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Must be able to keep accurate records and tallies. Must be capable of performing assembly line work at standard line rates. Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time.
