The BT Hardware Specialist will focus on and develop a strategy for managing the lifecycle of laptops and iPads, ensuring optimal performance, user support, and efficient asset management. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to the role, possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, exceptional time management, have a knack for attention to detail, and a passion for providing white glove support to end-users. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 3 years of p roven experience in IT support or hardware management, specifically with laptops and iPads preferred. * Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with various operating systems and software. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist and educate users. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. * Knowledge of asset management tools and inventory systems is a plus. Travel: Up to 50% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Asset Management: In partnership with the Asset Team, maintains an accurate inventory of laptops and iPads, tracking device status and lifecycle phases. * Deployment: Develops and leads project plan to coordinate the setup, configuration, and deployment of new devices, ensuring all software are properly implemented. * Maintenance & Repairs: Conducts regular maintenance and troubleshooting for hardware issues, facilitating repairs as needed. * Lifecycle Management: Owns the end user compute lifecycle. Develops strategy for lifecycle from procurement to retirement, including upgrades and replacements. * User Support: Provides technical assistance to end-users, addressing hardware-related inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. * Documentation: Creates and maintains detailed documentation regarding hardware specifications, warranty information, and support processes. * Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff to ensure devices integrate seamlessly within the organization\'s IT infrastructure. * Training & Education: Train users on best practices for device usage, security, and maintenance to enhance user experience. * Vendor Management: Manage relationships with hardware vendors for procurement, repairs, and warranty services. * Compliance: Ensure all devices adhere to organizational policies, security standards, and best practices. * Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
