Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

Design new electromechanical systems and components. Create design drawings and specifications in Creo modeling. Follow engineering change order process for design changes and maintenance. Conduct mechanical, flow, and electrical systems lab testing. Conduct field tests of system and component designs. Produce installation, troubleshooting, and repair documentation for field service technicians. Communicate new systems, system changes, and technical information to all field service technicians. Troubleshoot and problem solve system and quality issues. Select best system and system components for national customer accounts. Select functional and cost effective methods to manufacture system components. Work closely with materials department and supply base to source component and contract manufacturing suppliers. Support outside contract manufacturing facilities that produce systems and components. Communicate with customers and suppliers. Support internal manufacturing and equipment repair. Support field installation and service technicians.

Hard Skills

• Experience with valves/nozzles

• Experience with fire protection agency (FPA) regulations

• Creo modeling

Soft Skills

• Willingness to travel state-wide, 1-3x per week

• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

• Effective communication with customers and suppliers

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.

Work Environment

Will do field testing at customers - must be comfortable working in fast food restaurant kitchens. Travel up to 25% with some overnights required.
