Description

Sawtooth Concepts is looking for aDelivery Driver/Warehouse Operatorto carefully, accurately, and efficiently handle, load, unload, and deliver raw materials and finished goods to project sites via company truck or trailer. In addition, the Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operator will assist with assembling and finishing custom cabinets.

What You'll Do:

  • Load and unload trucks with raw goods and finished materials using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, etc.)

  • Verify packing slips and production drawings upon delivery and staging to ensure all items are accounted for

  • Receive, organize, store, and stage materials for efficient processing both on job sites and in the cabinet shop

  • Visually inspect delivered products and note/report any damage prior to leaving job sites

  • Accommodate and label inventory according to size, shape, and type

  • Box, wrap, and pack inventory in accordance with relevant procedures and standards

  • Record and manage all impaired or damaged inventory items

  • Remove and dispose of excess materials such as shrink wrap, cardboard, pallets, and strapping materials

  • Move materials throughout the facility and job sites safely and proficiently using appropriate equipment(e.g., forklift, manual pallet jack, etc.)

  • Clean and maintain warehouse and delivery equipment

  • Perform quality checks and stage assembled cabinetry and components for storage and/or shipping

  • Deliver, unload, and stage cabinets and components for installation

  • Clean and maintain shop work areas, including warehouse equipment and tools, to ensure a safe working environment

  • Assemble cabinet parts with glue, screws, staples, and other fasteners

  • Assist in preparing cut parts for assembly

  • Install hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls

  • Operate a variety of standard and specialty woodworking equipment: hand, power, and pneumatic tools

  • Operate a variety of woodworking powered machinery: edge bander, doweler, CNC router, and panel saw

  • Restock parts and hardware, unload, sort, and put away materials in the shop

  • Sand and scrape surfaces and joints to prepare components for finishing

  • Perform other assigned tasks and requirements as assigned

We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

  • Experience driving a box truck with hydraulic gate

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred

  • Experience operating a telehandler, forklift and manual pallet jack preferred (we offer certifications)

  • Must have high quality standards while working quickly and efficiently to meet production and delivery schedules

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • Great physical stamina and manual dexterity with ability to stay awake, alert and focused

  • Ability to read reports, computer screens, and small screens on handheld wireless scanner

  • Ability to solve straightforward problems and seek guidance as needed

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standard of quality

  • Ability to read a tape measure

  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, sketches, and shop drawings, to create pull lists, delivery reports, and packing slips
