This job was posted by https://idahoworks.gov : For more information, please see: https://idahoworks.gov/jobs/2324112 Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking an IT Data Intern to join our Enterprise Data Management team for Summer 2025, which is generally a May-August timeframe. This opportunity will allow an intern to gain an understanding of business intelligence and IT data analysis within the health insurance industry.

This paid internship will be located onsite at our corporate headquarters in Meridian, Idaho and may have some opportunity for hybrid work. Estimated hours per week: 40 hours/week.

What we are looking for in an intern:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably a junior or senior standing students
• Analytical - ability to report, analyze and, make observations about data/processes
• Organization - ability to multi-task and manage time with multiple priorities
• Inquisitiveness - not afraid to ask questions or attempt to figure things out
• Communications - verbal and written skills suitable to a business environment
• Independence - can work under moderate supervision; is self-motivated

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

• MS Office Suite
• Data Warehouse (Snowflake preferred)
• SQL
• Business Intelligence Reporting (Tableau preferred)
• Data Analytics

What you will learn on this internship:

• Assist with Data Warehouse upgrade UAT
• Write and review SQL statements for data validation
• Assist with conversion of Tableau Reports to Tableau Cloud
