This is a Physician -- Joint Reconstruction Orthopedic Surgeon position with a company in Meridian, MS.

Summary:  Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with Joint Replacement training.  Ochsner Health and internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon James R. Andrews, MD have created The Ochsner Andrews Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Institute. Building upon Ochsner's award-winning sports medicine program, which includes highly trained sports professionals like athletic trainers, physical therapists, fellow-trained surgeons, performance training coaches, primary care and physical medicine and rehabilitation sports physicians, Dr. Andrews brings his expertise, research, and education platform, newly launched as Andrews Medicine, to strengthen the best-in-class care for patients and athletes across Louisiana and Mississippi..

Duties and Responsibilities Include: General Orthopedic Coverage with 3 Surgeons, 1 Orthopedic-Spine Surgeon, and 2 APPs.  Working directly with our other Orthopedic physicians and APPs. Join a highly collegial system -- wide group comprised of general orthopedics and orthopedic sub-specialties. Call: 1 day per week and would share with city wide call for the weekend.  Weekends would be every 6th weekend.  Dedicated OR time and space in our Ambulatory building that is connected to the clinic space. Integrated practice model with a strong, internal referral network. 24/7 reliable hospitalists onsite. Strong support from collaborative specialties. EPIC medical record platform utilized throughout the Ochsner Health System.
