Job Summary: TEKsystems is partnering with an industry leader in the cabling/infrastructure seeking Data Center Cable Technicians to join our team on a long-term W-2 contract in the Mesa/Chandler/Phoenix area. The ideal candidate(s) will have experience with structured cabling, rack and stack, and other data center infrastructure tasks. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling and equipment in a data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, route, label, and terminate CAT5/CAT6 cables.

• Perform rack and stack of network equipment, including servers, switches, and routers.

• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of network cabling and equipment.

• Ensure proper cable management and organization within the data center.

• Collaborate with team members to complete projects and meet deadlines.

• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience with CAT5/CAT6 cabling and network infrastructure.

• Experience in data center environments, including rack and stack of network equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work on ladders or elevated surfaces.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. (Drug/BG compliance required)

• Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
