Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Job Description
Utilize your electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers. Perform installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas and chemical delivery systems to maintain and increase revenue for both service and sales divisions. Participate in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment. Work professionally and develop customer relations. Demonstrate the ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Adhere to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements. Comprehend the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools. Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance; work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Respectfully take direction from the supervisor/manager; other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent service to customers using electromechanical skills.
Perform installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas and chemical delivery systems.
Participate in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment.
Develop professional customer relations.
Understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Adhere to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements.
Utilize various test equipment including test meters, hand tools, and power tools.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance; work collaboratively in a team environment.
Respectfully take direction from the supervisor/manager; other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Field service experience
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
Ability to read schematics/diagrams
Electromechanical experience
High School Diploma
Associates degree (or full military equivalent)
Positive attitude, energetic and enthusiastic
Willingness to learn and commitment to excellence
Ability to set priorities and demonstrate initiative
Competent in the use of test equipment including test meters, hand tools, and power tools
Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent customer interfacing and communication skills
Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods
Training to work at height using approved fall protection equipment
Successful completion of Physical Capability assessment required
Clean driving record
Fluency in written and spoken English
Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly
Work Environment
Involves physical workload installing/decommissioning semiconductor tools. Work will be conducted in a sub fab/cleanroom environment, requiring the use of a respirator for at least 2 hours and steel-toed boots. The job involves walking and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Be prepared to wear a respirator and work in a sub fab environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
