Responsibilities

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Central Arizona Endoscopy

Employment Type: Per Diem

Central Arizona Endoscopy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia care for our patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments, including ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies, consulting with other healthcare professionals, and obtaining informed consent.

  • Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans tailored to patient needs.

  • Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia, as well as intravenous sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

  • Select and manage anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, fluids, and other necessary medications to maintain physiological stability.

  • Monitor patient vitals using both noninvasive and invasive techniques, interpreting physiological data to optimize patient care.

  • Oversee airway and pulmonary management, including intubation, ventilation, and extubation, when necessary.

  • Guide patients safely through emergence and recovery from anesthesia, managing pain, fluid therapy, and potential complications.

  • Discharge patients from post-anesthesia care and provide follow-up evaluations related to anesthesia effects.

  • Implement pain management strategies, including regional anesthesia, pharmacological therapy, and labor epidural analgesia when applicable.

  • Respond effectively to emergencies, providing airway management, life-saving interventions, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) when needed.

  • Perform additional CRNA responsibilities aligned with your expertise and training.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

  • Active RN and APRN licensure in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)

  • BLS and ACLS certification required

  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

  • Prior experience in an endoscopy or outpatient surgical setting is a plus

Qualifications

  Qualifications:

  • Holds a current and unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and meets all applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements for Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN).

  • Successfully completed a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) or its predecessor.

  • Eligible for coverage under the institution’s required medical malpractice insurance policy.

  • Demonstrates current clinical competency in the responsibilities relevant to the position

  • Meets one of the following certification requirements:

  • Currently certified by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (or its predecessor), or

  • Currently recertified by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.

  • USD $70.00/Hr. USD $110.00/Hr.
