This is an ENTRY-LEVEL position that will provide you opportunity to magnify your skills set and expand your knowledge in this field! As a Signage Production Technician, you will have opportunity to grow and learn the production of signage and print media. You will have the opportunity to be part of a motivated and creative team. You will work in an assembly setting using various tools and techniques to fabricate signs. This includes cutting, painting and taping acrylic. Attention to detail is paramount and field installations are required.
You will work on-site at Banner Desert Medical Center Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts (start time is flexible), with a 30 minute lunch.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position, under the guidance of Facilities Operations leadership, is tailored for individuals new to signage manufacturing. It is focused on learning, providing support, and executing basic operational tasks under supervision.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Acquire knowledge of the materials, tools and machinery used in signage and print media productions. Understand set-up, process and basic trouble shooting.
Shadow experienced specialists to gain hands on experience. Enhance understanding and proficiency with materials, tools, and machinery. Ask questions to understand tasks and improve skills.
Participate in the assembly of products following detailed step-by-step instructions, ensuring pieces are correctly placed and secured. Must be able to use and read tape measure as well as be proficient in basic math calculations, spelling and grammar.
Conduct visual inspections to verify dimensions, quality, and proper assembly. Learn step-by-step installation process. Support signage specialist during large-scale field installation projects.
Learn to read and interpret the Banner’s service and repair requests (TMA) to receive and complete work order tasks.
Handle basic signage production tools including drills, saws, hand tools, and other tools typically found in signage production. Safely use ladders for tasks involving height, whether in installation or production.
Help maintain inventory by performing counts, sorting, and relocating materials as needed.
Learn to manage several tasks assigned at once with guidance on how to prioritize and meet project deadlines.
Maintain cleanliness in the shop, manage waste disposal and keep tools and materials organized. Perform simple maintenance like equipment cleaning and minor adjustments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires high school diploma/GED OR Equivalent.
Direct experience in signage manufacturing is not required. Interest in learning manufacturing, assembly, and tool operation is crucial.
Basic proficiency in spelling and grammar, using measurement tools like a tape measure and performing simple math calculations is critical. Organizational skills, following detailed instructions, and willingness to ask questions from experienced team members is desirable.
Physical ability to handle tools, work with materials and safely use ladders is essential. Demonstrate ability to adapt to a multi-task environment, showing basic skills to prioritize and meet deadlines. Ability to learn computer-controlled signage production equipment. Work effectively with commonly used office software programs.
Facilities Services depending on business need, may require proof of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
