Location: Mexico City - Hybrid (twice a week in the office)

The Accounting Specialist will ensure the proper management, analysis, and recording of the organization's financial and accounting information, complying with current legal and tax regulations, to contribute to strategic decision-making based on accurate and reliable data.

Key responsibilities - You will do:

  • Accounting Records: Analyze and record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and clean up accounting accounts.

  • Closing Processes: Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).

  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax), ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing the required information.

  • Control and Analysis: Conduct variance and trend analyses on accounting accounts.

  • Identify and propose improvements to financial and accounting processes.

  • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper integration of financial information.

  • Provide support for the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Requirements - You will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.

  • Accounting or tax certifications are a plus (optional based on company needs).

  • 2+ years of experience in similar roles.

  • English language proficiency - Advanced.

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and teamwork.

  • Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.

  • Experience with accounting processes, taxes, and ERP Oracle

  • Strong understanding of local accounting standards (IFRS/NIF) and tax regulations.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools.

A PLUS:

  • Knowledge of Oracle and HFM
