Breakthru Beverage Group Manager, Inventory Control in Middle River, Maryland
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within our distribution organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of inventory control associates, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory records, and developing processes that improve overall inventory management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can streamline workflows, resolve discrepancies, and provide comprehensive training to associates, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement in inventory practices. High level of SAP experience required.
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5pm
Compensation: $72,000-$81,000
Responsibilities
Conducts wall-to-wall inventory and recommends write-offs.
Ensures that the 3-way match process using SAP system is completed.
Analyzes data using SAP to maintain inventory levels. Projects inventory level based on constant communication with Trade/Sales and systems.
Handles all forecasting for state and works across functions and with the Director of Operations to ensure goals are met.
Responsible for the order cycle and accurate and timely distribution of products to customer. Supports determination of placement in trucks and scheduling of shipments. Handles any discrepancies or issues with inventory shipments.
Report to the management on a daily basis productivity results and areas of opportunity.
Maintain accurate inventory within the system.
Validate weekly system comparison report and research discrepancies
Management of all inventory related processes
Supervise and coordinate accurate logging of product and verification of inventory in a timely manner.
Ensure delivery driver check in process is completed timely and in compliance with warehouse operations guidelines.
Assist manager with the physical inventory process
Safety, Security and Liability
Maintains equipment area according to unit policies
Responsible for closing/locking doors and gates when not in use.
Ensures that all products are properly stored before the end of the shift
Ensures all safety and security procedures and policies are enforced
May create work as safety advisor for facility which includes: administering security badges, acting as a liaison for law enforcement, and managing a safety related incidents.
May manage worker’s compensation, vehicle and property liability claims.
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Responsibly handle beverage alcohol product
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing Logistics/Supply Chain/Inventory/Replenishment
Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
Analytic and Reporting skills
Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone
Competencies:
May help coordinate the work of junior members of the team.
Resolves issues which are often varied and non-routine. Undertakes analysis and investigation to solve issues.
