What You Will Do:
Product Delivery Center (PDC) is seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our Engine Assembly group on 2nd shift. You will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success.
The 2nd Shift hours are typically 3:00PM - 12:00AM ET, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsible for engine assembly.
Establish standards and expectation for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards. Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production goals.
Coach employees to improve performance when needed.
Perform administrative functions as related to bargaining unit employees including maintaining
training, quality, and attendance records.
Manage cell overtime and equitably distribute among employees.
Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels properly affixed, and uptime optimized while meeting all safety requirements.
Ensure that all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety.
Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly.
Ensure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld.
Utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair.
Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures.
Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Aerospace or Logistics Industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma and 9+ years of relevant industry experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.
Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) or AMT license
2+ years of operations leadership and personnel management experience, particularly within a manufacturing environment leading a union workforce.
Knowledge of Union-Management Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Experience with problem-solving tools such as root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).
Experience with Environmental Health & Safety principles.
Experience working with Solumina MES, SAP ERP, MS Office Suite.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior level management.
Successful completion of RTX enterprise OSCLDP in 2025

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
