General Summary: The RF Product Engineer's primary responsibility is to enhance the design, functionality, and technical advancement of NuWaves' RF products. This role demands a deep understanding of RF engineering principles applied to designing, developing, and optimizing products such as Power Amplifiers, Upconverters, Downconverters, and Low Noise Amplifiers. Key responsibilities include innovating to improve product manufacturability, providing advanced technical support to customers, and leading new product introductions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset, who is detail-oriented, and who has significant experience in RF product design. Essential Functions: Provide expert verbal and written communication - producing white papers, application notes, product datasheets, and other technical documentation. Adhere strictly to company design, quality, and process standards. Review and approve engineering change notices specifically tailored for RF product solutions. Develop product requirements documents with a focus on RF design specifications. Lead the gathering, analysis, and presentation of product test data to stakeholders. Maintain thorough documentation, including test procedures, marketing data sheets, user manuals, and requirements. Propose and oversee updates to existing RF products. Collaborate across domains to support product roadmap development and execution. Work within an AS9100 quality management system framework. Travel as necessary to support products, including attending conferences and customer visits. Competencies: Expert knowledge of the RF industry and RF product design. Strong communication skills with effective project execution capabilities. Leadership ability to guide engineers and technicians in product design and testing. Skilled in leading continuous improvement efforts. Advanced problem-solving and analysis skills. Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and Adobe InDesign. Experience with engineering software like Labview, AWR, Genesys, or equivalent is essential. Familiarity with electronic component assembly is preferred. Extensive experience with RF Products such as Power Amplifiers, Upconverters, Downconverters, and Low Noise Amplifiers is required. Experience in Aerospace and Defense electronics is preferred. Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years of related RF design and product development experience.
