The role
Support the Company's HR Function in line with strategic objectives. Make the HR Department efficient, valued, and well-regarded by managers, employees, and associates.
What will you do?
Provide advice, support, mentorship, and feedback to managers on talent management activities including performance management, training and development organizational change programs, and strategy and planning
Support managers to facilitate effective leadership and team engagement (including feedback on leadership behaviors) through working with Talent Management to deliver mentoring and development interventions as appropriate.
Work alongside the Talent Acquisition Platform to facilitate sourcing and recruitment strategies and processes. This involves reviewing and approving requisitions, supporting Divisions in managing headcount, developing interview tools when necessary, participating in interview panels, and ensuring smooth employee on-boarding activities.
Provide a dedicated HR advisory service for a range of employment and employee relations matters including conduct and capability, grievance and disciplinary matters, duplication and restructuring, absence and health issues, and policies. Provide timely support during investigation and disciplinary processes and recommend appropriate action, participating in disciplinary hearings where necessary.
Support managers with the performance review process, including identifying and developing promotable talent.
Prepare HR Management Information to gain greater identify trends and to support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of diversity, attraction, retention, career development and performance. Pro-actively provide appropriate recommendations to line managers to address identified issues.
Opportunities to support with continuous improvement initiatives and development projects such as HR Policies, processes, benefits and harmonization activities.
Support with activities that promote and maintain a culture of diversity, inclusion and customer excellence
Experience:
Proven generalist HR experience at senior advisor level or HR Manager in a smaller business;
Good general knowledge of all key aspects of employment law;
Proven interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative to deliver projects and implement new initiatives;
Ability to research, analyse and reason logically within tight and conflicting time frames;
Ability to adopt and handle change in a fast paced environment
Ability to identify development needs and suggest appropriate resources and solutions;
Ability to navigate sophisticated matrix structure organisational relationships. Confident in engaging and collaborating with key managers and business leaders.
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential and secure;
CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required, advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
PHR/SPHR and other professional certification is desirable.
5 years of comprehensive HR experience in a fast paced manufacturing business
Expertise in implementing business and change programs and processes that yield positive results.
