Location/Division Specific Information
Middletown, VA
Hours: Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm CT (overtime as needed)
Our company seeks an experienced Inventory Professional to monitor assigned inventory levels, perform physical counts of inventory, and reconcile actual stock counts to computer-generated reports. Prefer minimum intermediate computer skills, RF scanning experience, and some warehouse/production support experience. Problem-solving skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Perform Cycle Counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Ensures that inventory is stored properly and safely.
Locate Inventory to appropriate storage locations.
Identifies discrepancies as they arise and assists with problem-solving and fact-finding to help resolve the discrepancy.
Report any stock issues to management.
Prepare a list of unusable/damaged products.
Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.
Follows all Standard Operating Procedures.
Willingness to learn and understand the goals of the department.
Assist other team members with fulfilling all internal requests.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
2+ years’ experience in inventory control and/or general warehouse.
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Able to lift 50 pounds without restriction
Willingness to train and qualify material movement equipment to include but not limited to forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Use of computer and RF technologies.
Basic math skills for counting purposes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Prior forklift experience is a plus
Maintain a high level of accuracy by paying attention to detail.
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication.
Mastery of skills required to read, understand, and adhere to the SOPs and policies of a GMP environment.
Physical Requirements
Standing, bending, reaching, walking, and talking.
Occasionally lifting to 45 lbs., and regular lifting to 20 pounds.
The position is exposed to different temperature extremes, between -30 C to 25 degrees C, for up to 30 minutes at a time.
