Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance on all machinery. You will troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, bailers, printers, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and gear shafts. This position is primarily mechanical (80%) with some electrical work (20%). You will also be responsible for swapping out motors, utilizing schematics and blueprints, and working with voltages up to 480V. General facility maintenance, welding (MIG), and fabrication are also required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery.

• Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, bailers, printers, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and gear shafts.

• Swapping out motors as needed.

• Utilize schematics and blueprints for maintenance tasks.

• Work with electrical systems up to 480V.

• Conduct general facility maintenance when required.

• Perform welding (MIG) and fabrication tasks.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of maintenance mechanic experience.

• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.

• Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V.

• Own tools.

• Basic electrical knowledge.

Work Environment

You will be working on the production floor, which is clean and organized. The temperature varies with the seasons, getting warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter. The shifts are overnight from 5pm to 5am, with training on the day shift from 5am to 5pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Midlothian, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $68640.00/yr.
