Applied Materials Automation Software Engineer in Milan, Italy

We are looking for an Automation Software Support Engineer to increase the Team of Agrate Brianza (MB-Italy), supporting our Customer managing the software running in our HighTech equipment used for the Microchips production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Software Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution – (Microsoft/Networking/Custom Applications)
Analyze reported problems & find issues through log file review
Develop & provide troubleshooting plans to discover root cause
Deliver rapid resolution on systemic issues & validate solutions on equipment
Report found software bugs which cause issues and can lead to customer dissatisfaction
Interact with software development group, provide all necessary information leading to a developed software fix
Software Installation & Imaging
Install & configure custom software applications on equipment system controllers
Apply base images to system controllers using applications such as Microsoft DISM
Develop & train team members on software installation procedures
Software Test & Validation .
Build test plans for implementation of new software releases on production equipment
Document & perform first of kind installs using simulation for high volume manufacturing equipment
Perform & validate customer scenario testing in simulation environment
Software Support
Provide remote & on-site support in the customer’s semiconductor fabrication sites
Listen to the customer & local team needs in term of software requirements. Interact with software development group for implementation
Support software activities on tools such as script implementations, anti-virus update, backups, database activities, etc.
Support equipment connections to customer network & interaction with automation system
Support factory automation scenario testing & integration with customer
Participate in product design, testing and documentation reviews as appropriate. Participate in user conferences & customer meetings as software representative.
COMPUTER SKILLS and Software Environment:
Expertise on Windows environments (administrative activities, abnormal Windows behavior troubleshooting, etc.)
Environment: IIOT; Ethercat, Anybus, Serial, Raid, Fieldbus, Canbus, System Integrator, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), Getways.
Expertise on Networking (network configuration, troubleshooting, etc.)
Ability to write scripts for repeated tasks on system such as backups, deployment of software
Knowledge of SECS/GEMS Semi standards, virtualization using VMWare, and applying base images using Norton Ghost or Microsoft DISM is preferred
