Position Title:

Maintenance Technician III

Pay Rate :

$37.00/hour

Category/Shift :

Hourly Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM. Primary schedule will be 1st shift, but must be flexible/able to work overtime & weekends, if needed.

NOTE: Must complete required training at Maintenance Technician I and Maintenance Technician II levels before becoming eligible for this position.*

The Job You Will Perform:

Responsible for providing mechanical maintenance services necessary to maintain equipment reliability in key operating areas of the facility. In their role, the Maintenance Technician III must:

  • Understand basic electrical safety

  • Mechanical troubleshooting repair and installation of bearings, gear boxes, pumps and mechanical systems

  • Understand blueprints and drawings

  • Have machine Shop Skills including lathe and milling machines

  • Observe Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Must follow all policies and procedures in Safety & Environment

  • Demonstrate capability to contribute and learn in the following areas: mechanical maintenance, welding, rotating equipment (ex. pumps and gearboxes), electrical and instrumentation, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  • Complete preventative maintenance and maintain production equipment to optimize run ability through troubleshooting and repair of machines

  • Diagnose, repair, modify, replace, and install plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems

  • Be able to learn and understand mechanical/electrical prints, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams

  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by immediate supervisor

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or state registered GED preferred

  • Must complete required training for MT I and MT 2 levels

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical troubleshooting including PLCs, variable speed drives and electrical control circuits

  • Experience troubleshooting and installing rephrase industrial motors

  • Basic electrical construction skills

  • Experience trouble shooting numeric and hydraulic controls

  • PLC troubleshooting and repair

  • Knowledge of mobile equipment – will operate forklift and aerial lift, as needed

  • AdvancedPipe Cutting and Threading experience
