WestRock Company Lift Truck Operator in Milpitas, California
We are seeking for a Lift Truck Operator to be located in Milpitas, CA.
Pay: $24.95
Shift: OPEN to 1st, 2nd and 3rd - assigned based on seniority
This position will support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Move units to warehouse and/or load units into machines or onto trucks in a safe and efficient manner
Responsible for ensuring that all units are banded properly; have a clearly visible load tag on them when being loaded; and that there are no broken or missing straps on the units
Responsible for ensuring that unit and truck counts are correct and all paperwork is accurate
Unload incoming material as needed and will be responsible for performing a visual quality inspection on items to verify that unit and truck counts are accurate
Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed:
High School diploma or GED required.
Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift; available to work overtime.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Math skills will be assessed.
Understand unitizing and palletizing information.
Able to successfully complete Lift Truck Training and pass the written and driving skills test to be certified Lift Truck Operator.

The starting rate for this position is $24.56, depending on your role, level and location.
