REXNORD INDUSTRIES LLC Application Engineer II in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description The Application Engineering II position is responsible for managing the knowledge and data within the Stearns product catalog portfolio. The candidate will provide technical support for orders, responding to customer technical questions, curating internal and external content within Regal Rexnord\'s Clutch & Brake business. Internally, they will be supporting primary functions within Engineering with secondary support to Customer Care, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management and Marketing. Additionally, they will participate in productivity and simplification projects for our operations and engineering teams to help deliver high levels of customer satisfaction. The Application Engineer II works within the engineering team to accept assignments, consult with manufacturing, product management & engineering, produce solutions for repairs and rebuilds of clutches & brakes, reverse engineering of competitive offerings, and failure analysis. Major Responsibilities: Manages and creates technical content for a highly configured electro-mechanical brake portfolio Interacts with engineers, sales, distribution and other end customers to translates needs into product selections or enhancements. Designs custom modifications and accessories for targeted growth verticals and key customers Interacts with sales team and customers to resolve application issues with occasional travel when needed. Conducts product tear-down and root cause identification and failure analysis Evaluates deviation or substitution requests from plants/suppliers and provides guidance on resolution Takes responsibility for and completes key tasks on a project-by-project basis. Drives to meet deadlines ensuring customer success Creates test plans to validate design concepts and material or manufacturing changes, summarizing results and documenting conclusions with other engineers Resolve challenges related to the interpretation of drawings, design tolerances, quality and material requirements based upon application needs Works closely with manufacturing, inspection and assembly to resolve issues or concerns Performs reverse engineering and cross reference mapping of competitor clutches and brakes Active observer and steward to assure products are applied and maintained in diverse and challenging environments. Initiates ECN workflows to assure product definition is up to date and orders can be realized Product training to internal and external customers Required Education / Experience / Skills: Bachelor\'s degree Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology equivalent from an accredited university.
