The Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs plays a central role in supporting Marquette University\'s outstanding and diverse faculty. As a member of the Provost\'s leadership team and leader of the Office of Faculty Affairs, this position oversees and supports faculty growth and development, retention, promotion and tenure, performance, engagement programs, committee processes and systems that span all colleges and schools at Marquette. Working closely with a broad group of stakeholders, this position plays a key role in advancing strategic initiatives that enhance the faculty experience and reinforce the University\'s commitment to inclusive excellence and academic success. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requires an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) or terminal degree. A minimum of 7 years of related experience. Must be a current faculty member in an accredited higher education institution, tenured or tenurable at Marquette University. Be a self-starter able to work independently. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to clearly communicate with multiple constituencies. Be able to contribute within a team environment and support the Provost\'s Office broader vision, goals, and initiatives. Be a problem solver able to work through complex issues across university areas. Have a deep working knowledge of the university and its various functions. Have demonstrated successful leadership experience overseeing committees, projects, and direct reports.
