Description
The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of systems. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, managing system configurations, and driving acquisition integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Compensation includes access to training materials, exam reimbursement, and increases for key certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Manage and maintain system configurations, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure system stability and security.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Provide training and support to Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk technicians.
Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Provide feedback, and support IT/IS processes, strategies, and roadmaps that meet business requirements.
Integrate technology of existing and newly acquired companies into the organization's IT infrastructure.
Requirements
Desired Attributes and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and network administration.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
Experience in managing IT infrastructure and business processes.
Strong project and vendor management experience.
Ability to communicate technology vision clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
Education and Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience.
Relevant IT certifications are preferred.
