JOB REQUIREMENTS: ob Description: New Berlin, WI 8:30am-4:30pm \$17-\$18/hr. The role of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is vital for the smooth operation of the shipping department within a company. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk are diverse and encompass various tasks crucial to the shipping and receiving operations of the company: Assembling, Packaging, and Labeling: Prepare products for shipment by assembling, packaging, protecting, and labeling them according to shipping requirements and standards. Verification of Product Information: Verify product information such as box count, size, and condition of materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met. Documentation: Document items shipped using both electronic and paper systems, ensuring accurate records are maintained. Utilize systems like Proship and maintain appropriate records in electronic and paper format using PubZone. Warehouse Coordination: Process jobs to be sent to designated warehouse locations, such as the Hartland Warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate shipment. Inventory Management: Restock shelves as needed to maintain inventory levels and facilitate efficient operations. Mail Processing: Process mail through metering machines and handle outgoing mail efficiently. Label Creation: Create labels for shipments, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with shipping requirements. Communication with Freight Companies: Communicate with freight companies, fax Advance Shipping Notices (ASN), and generate bills of lading to facilitate shipment processes. Routing and Preparation of Drivers: Route and prepare company drivers for transportation assignments, ensuring smooth logistics operations. Preparing Materials for Transportation: Prepare various materials for transportation, including wrapping skids, labeling, and organizing outgoing shipments to ensure they are ready for transport. Processing Production Tickets: Process production tickets accurately and efficiently to facilitate shipment scheduling and coordination. Vehicle Loading: Load outgoing vehicles with the prepared shipments, ensuring they are securely loaded and ready for transport. Communication Handling: Answer telephone calls and emails promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed. Outside Service Preparation: Prepare items for outside services, ensuring they are properly packaged and documented for external handling. By diligently executing these essential duties and responsibilities, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk contributes to the efficient and effective shipping and receiving operations of the company, ensuring timely delivery of products and materials while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
