Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description

Actalent is seeking to hire a CNC Programmer who will work within the engineering department to create CNC programs for machining high-tolerance aerospace parts and machining tools. The shop includes machines such as 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, one lathe, a laser, a water jet, and a sheet router.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain CNC mill and lathe programs, including writing programs, posting/translating to G-code, creating setup sheets, and tool lists.

• Interpret part requirements by reviewing customer specifications and engineering drawings.

• Create and maintain process documentation including setup sheets and work instructions in accordance with AS9100 Rev. D system.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of Mastercam programming (8+ years preferred)

• High attention to detail including revision control and documentation management

• Ability to perform machine set-ups and 'proof' out programs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mastercam programming for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills

• Experience with CNC lathe programming

• Experience with programming for aerospace parts and machining tools

• Experience with tight tolerances, primarily working with aluminum sheet metal and some steel

• AS9100 experience, including working within the Rev. D system

• Ability to mentor junior programmers

Work Environment

The engineering offices are located upstairs and overlook a very clean shop. Programming takes place in the engineering office. The schedule follows a 4x10 format, which can be flexed based on needs. This is a salaried role, with an average of 40 hours per week, although some weeks may require more hours based on project needs. The workplace fosters a trusting environment where employees are not micromanaged.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $86000.00 - $100000.00
