Job Description: PCC Airfoils, located in Minerva, OH, is hiring a full-time Machine Operator.

Summary:

Under the supervision of the department supervisor, the Machine Operator uses an Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) to remove material from castings that cannot be efficiently removed by other methods. An EDM removes material from a casting with electrical discharges (sparks) caused by an electric current. The Machine Operator also sets up and adjusts holding fixtures; occasionally uses a manual mill to repair castings; receives instructions and assignments from the foreperson.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

[Obtains castings, from container or floor, places in holding fixture, sets machine up to automatically remove the correct amount of material; when the EDM is finished, the employee visually determines if the correct amount of material has been removed and either removes the casting from the fixture or sets the EDM to remove additional material.]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
