The ideal candidate will have translational research experience and clinical expertise in GU oncology, as well as independently obtained research funding. The Division is seeking an individual with a strong interest in clinical research in GU cancer who can thrive the team-based environment of the UMN Medical School. This individual will assume a key leadership role in the development, implementation, and supervision of innovative research projects and clinical trials in the treatment of cancer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and collaborate with research team members involved in support of critical research goals. This individual will also participate in the inpatient and outpatient clinical care of hematology/oncology patients as well as teaching of medical students and post-graduate trainees. Faculty in the HOT Division have the opportunity to work in partnership with The Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota which is a Comprehensive Cancer Center designated by the National Cancer Institute. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * M.D. and Board Eligible or Certified in Medical Oncology * Demonstrated excellence in patient care * Demonstrated enthusiasm for medical education and strong teaching skills * Must have or be able to attain a medical license in the state of MN * Must be able to pass credentialing at all applicable sites Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States. Both experienced academicians and fellows are encouraged to apply. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
