Thrivent Financial Brokerage Operations Control and Regulatory Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Analyst who supports both the systems and the processes of the Brokerage Operations business unit. The position requires brokerage technical knowledge and product expertise to limit the firm’s exposure to financial liability. The position requires the ability to exercise judgment and take calculated risks. Participates in case consultation and provides support to the front-line and leadership team. Creates documentation, provides training and monitors ongoing use of implemented controls. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The position is dedicated to quality and possesses the initiative to identify and assist with implementation of efficiencies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs analyst work, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems, processes, data, and user needs at the National Financial Services Product suite platform level
Provides references for users by creating and maintaining documentation, providing support, and training for brokerage processes
Manages and successfully delivers moderately complex projects
Works independently to identify issues/opportunities and create solutions to minimize risk and unnecessary cost to the department
Provides professional, quality customer service and consultation to department personnel, new and existing members, Wealth Advisors, Financial Representatives, and other field personnel as it relates to changes to existing and creation of new regulatory/procedural controls
Required Job Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent
3+ years of experience in brokerage and/or advisory
Experience in the business system analyst field or related area strongly preferred
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Possesses basic knowledge of FINRA/SEC/IA/MSRB rules and regulations and the ability to interpret and apply as required
Maintains an understanding of financial services industry products (including life and annuities, mutual funds, equity, fixed income, margin, advisory and related product lines required)
FINRA Series 7, Series 63/65 or 66 & Series 24 required or within 90 day of hire/ transfer

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $62,633.00 - $84,739.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
