Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Corporate Accounting Director to support our Corporate Controller in managing the accounting operations for the company through functional, technical and process leadership.

The leader in this highly visible role will provide critical support to our Global Accounting & Operations group while developing a best- in-class team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads a team supporting the company’s accounting functions.

• Manages the monthly financial close process, and as part of that, the company’s financial consolidation including multi-currency translation of international subsidiaries.

• Coordinates the accounting policy, finance technology, and accounting operations teams across the organization to ensure accounting is in line with the generally accepted accounting principles.

• Consults with business partners on process changes ensuring that design achieves expected standards, specifically general ledger functional design.

• Manages and develops a team of accountants.

• Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements in analysis and reporting.

• Works closely with senior leadership and provides a high level of customer service.

• Initiates Process improvements, and automation to streamline the accounting functions.

• Collaborate with other business leaders to resolve complex accounting issues.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, understanding their needs and provide financial solutions.

• Ensure accounting systems and processes are continuously efficient.

• Identify financial risk and opportunities to increase the company’s performance.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license

• 13 years of relevant accounting experience

• 5+ years of management experience

• Superior knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures

• Excellent analytical skills

• Expert ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office products

• Executive presence and business acumen

• Strong presentation and communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00 - $220,330.00
