BLUE SHIELD OF CALIFORNIA Director, Product Operations - Strategic in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Your Role The Director or Product Operations (Provider) is a pivotal leadership role within Blue Shield of California. Reporting to the Vice President or Product Management, in this role you will be responsible for defining and driving the operational aspects of the product lifecycle across the portfolio and customer segments. This role ensures that our product offerings (technology + services) are effectively brought to market, maintained and continuously improved. The Director will be responsible for defining the day-day operational model, account management model and leading cross-functional teams to support optimal engagement with customers across the product lifecycle. The Director will have a significant impact on Blue Shield of California by ensuring our products are efficiently and effectively managed through the lifecycle and supported with customers. This role will enhance our market position, improve customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall success of BSC. In this role you will have the responsibilities listed below: Operational Strategy and Leadership: Oversee from inception to launch, strategic operations of the portfolio product implementation lifecycle ensuring alignment with company goals and market demands. Process Optimization: Develop and refine processes for product offering management development, launch, and lifecycle management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Cross-functional Collaboration: Influence and lead coordination with product, legal, regulatory, engineering, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless product operations and successful launches, across the product offering lifecycle. Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, budgets, and timelines to ensure each phase of the product lifecycle is optimized and completed on schedule and within scope. Works with a high degree or responsibility for resources and influence business and market decisions based on functional need across the lifecycle. Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform operational strategies and identify areas for improvement. Stakeholder Communication: Communicates with parties within and outside of job functions, clearly communicates and works to influence others to accept / view practices and approaches. Serves as the primary point of contact for executive leadership on product operations progress, challenges, and successes. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in product operations and implement mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Effectively communication and problem solve across teams to reduce risk. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and guide future efforts. Customer Feedback Integration: Ensure customer feedback is integrated into product operations to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance product operations. Your Knowledge and Experience Typically, requires a college degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years in Healthcare Product experience, including 6 years of management experience Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience with a health plan with experience in health plan operations Requires Product management lifecycle operations experience Requires Communication with leadership and influence Requires in-depth knowledge of the healthcare and change management process Pay Range: The pay range for this role is: $165,990.00 to $248,930.00 f r California. Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles. External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.
