UMPhysicians Faculty Physician - Cardiologist: Electrophysiology (Assistant, Associate, Full in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible EP Cardiologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track. The incoming physician will work closely with the Cardiovascular Division and Electrophysiology Section leadership to support and expand the University's clinical and academic missions. Practice Highlights: Well established nationally and internationally recognized Electrophysiology program. The position will be dedicated to both clinical and academic efforts, however, the position will have a clinical focus. Clinical efforts will include electrophysiology lab interventions, hospital service, and clinics. The Electrophysiology Fellowship Program Director role may be considered as part of this position, depending on experience and interests. The program is active in standard and complex procedural care. Work in a multidisciplinary team of 28 Cardiologists (3 Electrophysiologists) and 18 Advanced Practice Providers (3.5 EP dedicated) Strong referral base Qualifications: Expertise in general clinical cardiology, advanced training and expertise in electrophysiology evaluation and patient care management. Proven knowledge and success in research publication and mentorship. Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and/or fellowship-training program. Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges. Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA. Preferred Qualifications: Attainment of externally funded grant submission, experience in large clinical research trials, and experience in supporting post graduate fellowship training. Evidence of prior leadership in clinical program development and demonstrated national EP leadership and/or service. The full-time salary range is $379,053- $677,365commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components.
