We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a dedicated team of maintenance professionals and oversee maintenance operations at our client’s plant near Minneapolis, MN. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, accurate estimation, and precise scheduling of both preventative and corrective maintenance for all plant equipment and service systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maximizing equipment uptime and driving operational efficiency through the reduction of unscheduled downtime. Success in this role will require not only technical expertise but also a proven ability to lead teams, implement process improvements, and ensure the facility runs at peak performance.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and scheduling routine maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production

• Supervising the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient coordination of work activities

• Managing inventory of parts and supplies, keeping a keen eye on cost-effectiveness

• Implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and timely repairs

• Overseeing the design and execution of facility enhancements and new equipment installations

• Ensuring that the maintenance team is well-trained in troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments specifically for corrugator equipment, with emphasis on mechanical and electrical components

• Developing and managing maintenance budgets, aligning them with operational goals

• Fostering a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by making sure all health and safety procedures are understood and followed by staff

• Reducing unscheduled downtime and enhancing operational efficiency by maintaining a strong focus on mechanical and electrical components

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action to ensure smooth production.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within the manufacturing industry

• Comprehensive knowledge of packaging equipment, materials, and solutions

• Proficient in maintenance planning and control

• Demonstrated experience in corrective and preventative maintenance

• Skilled in managing budgets and preparing budgetary reports

• Experience in supervisory management and the ability to lead a team effectively

• Proficiency in equipment repair, including electrical repairs and emergency repairs

• Familiarity with manufacturing environment, equipment, facility, and industry standards

• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred

• Strong understanding of maintenance management systems

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Familiarity with industry-specific software and technologies.
