Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Medical Customer Service Representative to join our call center team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will handle patient inquiries, assist with registration, and schedule appointments using the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing at least 40 calls per day, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls from patients, providing courteous and professional support for registration, appointment scheduling, and general inquiries.
Assist patients with the registration process, verifying and updating patient information accurately in the Epic system.
Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinating with providers, and matching patient needs with availability.
Ensure all interactions comply with HIPAA guidelines to protect patient information and privacy.
Handle call volume consistently, aiming for prompt response and minimal wait times.
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary.

Requirements
Requirements:
Prior experience in a healthcare call center or customer service role, ideally within a medical setting.
Proficiency with Epic or similar EHR systems is strongly preferred.
Ability to manage a high volume of calls daily while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and follow HIPAA guidelines.
