Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are in the process of recruiting a Medical Receptionist for our healthcare facility. This role involves a variety of tasks related to patient coordination and administrative support in a healthcare setting. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity that will allow you to leverage and further develop your skills in patient registration, medical front office management, customer service, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate patient check-in for clinic and radiology appointments

• Take responsibility for the accurate and timely assembly of daily patient charts

• Handle the collection and processing of co-pays and other patient payments

• Play a pivotal role in gathering demographic and insurance information, ensuring its accuracy for smooth billing

• Assist with the scheduling of future appointments for patients to ensure continued care

• Enroll patients in the patient portal and educate them on its use

• Coordinate interpreter services scheduling for patients as necessary

• Regularly update and maintain the provider database for accurate tracking of referring providers

• Ensure the front office lobby area is well organized and welcoming, including tasks such as straightening magazines and restocking coffee supplies

• Engage in customer service duties such as answering patient and visitor inquiries and providing directions. Requirements • Proficiency in patient registration, ensuring smooth and efficient admittance processes

• Experience in managing a medical front office with professionalism and efficiency

• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for all patients

• Ability to manage ordering office supplies, maintaining adequate stock levels at all times

• Experience with patient check-in procedures, ensuring all necessary information is collected and recorded

• Familiarity with various check-in systems and software

• Proficiency in patient scheduling, ensuring all appointments are properly arranged and tracked

• Strong scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple appointments simultaneously

• Experience with scheduling appointments and managing calendars in a fast-paced environment
