A Day in the Life
The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as financial partner to the Surgical R&D team, collaborating with business leaders in driving performance and ensuring execution of the appropriate business strategies through the management of business process. If you want to develop as strategic advisor, but also do not mind spending time with your head down in spreadsheets and data files; this might be the right opportunity for you. We need someone who will own the relationship with New Product Development stakeholders, who will build and maintain a trusted partnership with the business, and who will be a voice for the finance organization. This role hinges upon the transparency of communication and partnership, the accuracy of the data and the accountability to deliver results month after month.
The key responsibilities of this role include collaborating with new product development project teams to drive financial execution and provide financial visibility to senior leadership including GM’s and R&D leadership. Additionally, this person will develop metrics and standardized reporting that will empower decision making.

Responsibilities may include the following: other duties may be assigned:
Responsible for accurate and timely month-end/quarter-end financial reporting and presentation to both financial and non-financial leaders
Assist with quarterly performance and investment metrics including Monthly Finance Review (MFR)presentations
Support monthly CAPEX forecasting and tracking for R&D, oversee the fleet capital transfers and tracking.
Develop financial analysis to drive the performance of the business and execute on the strategic and tactical business decisions
Development of project reporting that is instrumental to managing the business.
Support the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts and Long-term Strategic Plans
Explain variances between actual results versus prior year and versus AOP / forecast and make recommendations for future actions
Collaborate with the Project Management Office and project leads to provide financial guidance and budgetary support
Complete project and infrastructure Forecasts, Strategic Plan, and AOP to ensure portfolio and functions are optimized and all targets are met.
Work with Controllership on SW Capitalization to ensure we are tracking and completing the j/e each month and following policy
Support the development of Power BI Dashboards for Surgical R&D reporting
Identify and implement technical and/or functional opportunities to improve processes, operational efficiency and reporting.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance & Accounting Roles (5+ years with an Advanced degree)
Nice to Have
Broad finance background that includes financial planning and analysis, accounting, finance, internal management reporting systems, budgeting, acquisition and investment analysis and financial modeling
High degree of analytical ability and attention to detail
Expert in Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup and Data manipulation
Project accounting experience
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Previous finance leadership experience with a global manufacturing company preferred
Knowledge of Hyperion systems, Essbase, and/ or SAP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information
Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives
CPA/ MBA
Cost Accounting and Manufacturing experience
Knowledge of investment decision metrics (NPV, IRR, DPP)
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$104,200.00- $154,800.00
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
