Coloplast Corp. Production Lead in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Production Lead Location: Minneapolis, MN, US Job Family: Manufacturing Country/Region: United States The Production Lead is responsible for managing Production Operators and all operations in their respective area for their designated shift. The Production Lead is responsible for providing daily scheduling, priorities, and training directions for production employees. This position is responsible for initial troubleshooting of production issues and communicating issues to management. They are responsible for managing and approving their team's time, are the first line of contact to employees for questions or concerns, and other related people matters. This individual will be scheduled for a first shift, working four days a week for ten hours each day (4/10 schedule). Major Areas of Accountability Coach, train, motivate and enhance the morale and self-esteem of production employees. Coordinate daily production needs that address safety, quality, and productivity. Participate in the creation and implementation of standard work for responsible production lines. Ensure employees follow all applicable procedures and standard work. Responsible for managing and approving timecards for direct report production employees. Participate in the evaluation and onboarding of new production employees. Escalate all reported employee relations concerns to Operations Leadership. Participate in daily and weekly Tier meetings. Responsible for coordinating daily work direction for production employees and monitor work progress to achieve production build plan. Partner with Operations Leadership to identify production employee OKRs and participate in annual performance management cycle. Communicates team needs and provides recommendations to Operations Leadership. Act as a liaison for manufacturing support groups such as: Engineering, Technicians, Quality, and EH&S. Troubleshoot minor issues and elevate larger issues to appropriate members and/or cross functional team members. Ensure employees are adequately trained to perform work assignments. Evaluates systems, processes, and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent 5+ years of medical device manufacturing experience is preferred Previous Lead experience is preferred Must have working knowledge of an ERP system. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation for applicable experience and may also be eligible for bonuses and/or incentives.
