The pay range is $71,000.00 - $128,000.00

As a Sr. Financial Analyst , Marketing Finance you will become an expert in Target’s retail media P&L, steering through Target’s recurring processes. You will:

  • Lead P&L reporting and shape revenue / expense narratives for Target’s retail media network (Roundel).

  • Refresh information for key weekly and monthly business reviews and other critical reporting activities.

  • Own the monthly close process in close partnership with accounting, ensuring timely and accurate expense accruals and reporting.

  • Own Joint Business Plan (JBP) and other merchandising-related reporting and forecasting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine/develop reporting.

  • Partner with HR, Comp and business leaders on resource planning and sales incentives.

  • Partner on Roundel’s channel forecast, understanding trends and resulting impacts on media mix, margins, and expense, and uncovering actionable insights to influence future media plans.

  • Proactively identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key financial priorities for the business leveraging internal and external forces and factors

You will help tell the Roundel story to senior leaders across Target, clearly and concisely focusing conversations on the most impactful items and taking insight from past results to influence future outcomes. A successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, be accountable and agile to ever-changing business dynamics, and be highly organized and process oriented to guide the broader team through recurring FP&A routines.

About you:

• Four-year degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance

• Four or more years Finance/Accounting/Audit or related Operations experience

• Experience working with spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel)

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, planning and organization skills

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills

• Entrepreneurial spirit with strong initiative and willingness to take risks

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
