The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Building Inspector II in the Inspections Department with an application deadline of Friday, October 4th 2024. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants.

• Nature of

Work

This is responsible technical work involving the inspection of buildings and building construction for conformity to municipal and national building codes and other regulations, and the inspection of residential properties and the enforcement of housing codes. Individual positions specialized in particular areas of building inspection such as plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. Requirements

• Possession of a valid North Dakota drivers license.
• Graduation from high school and five years of experience in the construction industry.

• Possession of certification as a commercial building inspector from the International Code Council.

• The assigned salary range for the position of Building Inspector II under the 2024 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 61, which is $27.50 per hour- $40.82 per hour or $57,197- $84,910 annually .
• This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
