Summary About the position: The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the economic and efficient operation of Flyers and Fit Pit located at the 35th Force Support Squadron Misawa AB, Japan. This is a Regular full time category position; guaranteed 40 hours per week. Military Spouse Preference is lost if selected for this position. Responsibilities Implements and ensures compliance with higher-level directives, follows policies, procedures, and programs to ensure high standards of operations. Establishes a business-based plan, including financial goals aligned with the Club Complex and FSS leadership. Prepares budgets, analyzes financial results, and maintains the financial well-being of the facility. Oversees all purchasing, cash accountability, and inventory control requirements. Manages real property resources and provides expert advice on renovations, improvements, and construction projects, both minor and major. Performs a full range of personnel management responsibilities, including performance evaluations, leave approval, employee training, recruitment efforts, addressing minor complaints, and implementing disciplinary actions. Ensures compliance with EEO and personnel directives. Establishes and implements a comprehensive training plan for staff. Maintains a safe and sanitary working environment. Ensures proper military and civilian protocol is practiced. Occasionally coordinates functions with senior military, civilian leadership, and federal officials, with approval and in coordination with Club Complex General Manager. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as directed by the Club Complex General Manager or designee. Keen attention to detail to ensure food quality, presentation, and cleanliness standards are consistently met. May be required to operate a Government Motor Vehicle (GMV). Thorough understanding of snack bar menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods. Condition(s) of Employment: Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check. Ability to work an irregular tour of duty, to include weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be able to obtain a Manager ServSafe Certification or be able to obtain it within 6 months of being hired for the position. Must possess a valid driver's license and 4EJ.
