Team Overview:

In the Client Services and Operations division at Edward Jones, you'll focus on creating the ideal client and branch experience. From account opening to trade settlement and movement of client cash and securities, to statement production and tax reporting, Operations is involved every step of the way. As the backbone of the branch, your work will support all client transactions and processing through the life cycle of the client relationship. Through strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration, you'll continuously identify opportunities for operational efficiency and risk mitigation, supporting the firm in its key objectives.

The opportunity will be to lead the research, development, design and implementation of Operations systems, primarily focused on Managed Accounts as a member of a cross-divisional team. The work will include new development, enhancements to existing functionality and defect resolution. In this role, collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders will be required to drive these changes to implementation for a world class, human centered experience. This is a senior individual contributor role ideally suited to an individual with former operations, managed account, and project experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, lead, and execute the operations components of projects, enhancements, and processes related to Operations, with initial focus in managed accounts. This includes the launch of new products or product partners, enhancements to existing tools and systems, and high-visibility firm priorities.

  • Plan and lead risk identification and verification for new products and tools.

  • Act as Operations consultant with business and I.S. leaders from multiple divisions and with varying levels of influence. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead the risk review for testing of complex enhancements and system upgrades with responsibility for the identification, tracking of issues, and implementation of solutions.

  • Develop, maintain, and explore new relationships with 3rd party vendors to offer tools and solutions that make it easier, faster, and better for branch teams to meet client needs.

  • Liaison and develop relationships with other financial firms and institutions when working on vendor selection and developing products for the firm.

  • Adopt processes for risk controls (e.g. Privacy, Business Continuity Planning, Record Information Management, Written Supervisory Procedures) and coordinate with departments to complete the applicable requirements.

  • Collaborate with Firm Analytics to leverage data for insights and reporting needed to inform business decisions and communicate results.

  • Determine appropriate workflows, leveraging results of qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Act as subject matter expert in assigned product area(s) of emphasis.

  • Provide feedback, coaching, training, and guidance to help develop other associates; takes a leadership role in the development of new associates/interns; and may lead other associates.

Hiring Minimum: $97400

Hiring Maximum: $165800

Skills/Requirements

What Experience You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred.

  • SIE and Series 99 required within 89 days of start date (US); Series 7 required within 12 months of start date (US). Outside the US, appropriate country-specific licenses required.

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) required within 12 months of start date (CA)

  • Generally, 5 years of experience working within Operations with a preference for Managed Account experience.

  • Strong operations, managed account and business system analysis experience needed.

  • Experience working with Data Reporting and Analytics tools such MS PowerBI, SQL, Snowflake, Tableau will be considered an asset.

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Mississauga, Ontario home office location are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.*
