Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer & Deputy Manager to join our team. This position is based out of Mississauga.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists in leading, managing, and directing team efforts in support of business objectives as it relates to:
Prioritization and distribution of team member tasks and managing workload.
Overseeing and coordinating design and compliance reviews and inspections to ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, regulations, including the Airport Construction Code.
Ensuring quality reviews are completed on time in coordination with all proposed renovations, alterations, maintenance work and new construction projects and program requirements.
Providing technical guidance and support to team as needed.
Collaborates, supports, and provides high level of customer service to the Planning & Engineering, Capital Delivery and Commercial Activation teams, and various key stakeholders including but not limited to Operations and Maintenance teams.
Reviews, documents, and improves processes and workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and maximize team performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess at a very minimum:
- A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field plus no less than 10 (ten) years of experience on large infrastructure programs in a mechanical, electrical, and / or plumbing engineering position including at least 2 (two) years in a management / leadership position.
Preferred Requirements:
Relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
Aviation experience preferred.
Demonstrable experience in managing teams and assessing the competency requirements of the team.
Specific working knowledge of the design, construction, project management and maintenance of building, mechanical, industrial, and utility systems.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting / workshops with large groups of stakeholders.
Strong technical capability in all project phases and ability to solve complex problems including by using data analytics to support solution identification.
Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic level reporting to enable effective decision making.

Relocation is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00.
