About the Position:
The Landside Operations Technician performs a variety of duties to maintain, repair, and clean airport buildings and grounds. Additionally, this position will monitor and maintain the parking infrastructure and services, and oversee vending operations at Canyonlands Regional Airport.
Essential Functions:
Maintain landside facilities
Monitor parking infrastructure
Ground service operations
Custodial and maintenance tasks associated with airport terminals
Inventories and orders supplies Restock supplies in public areas
Performs outdoor maintenance duties
Performs some office duties
Maintains secured access to restricted areas
Detects and eliminates or minimizes safety hazards

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge:
Cleaning processes and procedures
Use of common tools
Identification and removal of hazards
General airport operations
Handling and responding to emergency situations
Ability:
Effective and efficient decision making
Communicate effectively; both in writing and verbally
Basic first aid
Skills:
Computer applications
Safety and operations of vehicles and small equipment
Safety and operation of hand and power tools
Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; AND
Two (2) years of experience with facility and custodial operations; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check Must be able to move object weighing up to 80 lbs
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
This position is full-time.
