Special Education Paraprofessional – Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. This role requires assisting students with special needs and supporting educational staff to create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited institution, or passing score on the ACT WorkKeys Assessment (at the candidate’s expense).

• High school diploma (required for WorkKeys applicants).

• Ability to meet Alabama Child Protection Act suitability criteria.

• Physical capability to assist with student needs and mobility equipment.

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.

• Ability to be punctual and reliable.

Physical & Performance Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with student behavior management and hygiene needs.

• Support teachers by maintaining records and supervising students.

• Must be willing to undergo training in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention as required.

• Assist students on and off buses and during field trips.
